Install Plugin

Learn how to install the RaidMan companion plugin on your Unraid server.

To unlock the full power of RaidMan (including advanced capabilities like Host/Docker/VM Terminals, real-time Logs, VNC access, and File Browsing), you should install the RaidMan Companion Plugin on your Unraid server.

Installation Options

You can install the RaidMan plugin using one of the following two methods:

Method 1: Install via Community Apps (Recommended)

This is the easiest and most secure method to install the plugin and keep it updated automatically.

  1. Open your Unraid Web UI.
  2. Navigate to the Apps tab (Community Apps).
  3. Search for RaidMan in the search bar.
  4. Click Install.

Method 2: Install via URL (Manual)

If you do not have Community Apps installed, or prefer to install the plugin manually:

  1. Copy one of the plugin URLs below:
    • Primary URL: https://raidman.app/raidman.plg
    • GitHub URL (Fallback): https://raw.githubusercontent.com/routecore/raidman-plugin/main/raidman.plg
  2. Go to the Plugins tab in your Unraid Web UI.
  3. Click on the Install Plugin sub-tab.
  4. Paste the copied URL into the input field and click Install.

Security Recommendations

The RaidMan plugin provides powerful remote access capabilities. Improper configuration may create security vulnerabilities.

To keep your server secure, we recommend following these guidelines:

  • Use a VPN or Tailscale for remote access: Do not expose your Unraid Web UI or ports to the public internet.
  • Regularly audit API key usage: Revoke and delete unused keys.
  • Keep the plugin updated: Ensure you are running the latest version.

[!NOTE] Once installed, the RaidMan mobile app will automatically detect the companion plugin. If it is not detected, try refreshing the dashboard in the app.
